Letters to Juliet (#FreestyleFriday)

so tonight is Freestyle Friday, this is when i'll be making fiction short stories or just randomly shared what movie i just watched a few minutes ago.

first of all, i never ever get tired of watching this movie, EVER! you could say, i would probably saved this movie for future use, while cuddling with my husband on movie night. anyway, back to place, i L.O.V.E this movie so much! it's called Letter To Juliet, from the original story by Lise Friedman. okay, so this movie is about a girl named Sophie, who was supposed to be having a honeymoon with her fiance Victor, end up travelling all around Verona, to help an old lady Claire and his grandson Charlie, to find her lost love. it sounds romantic, doesn't it? looking for her lost love all the way across the sea, i mean literally, Claire was from England, and her lost love, Lorenzo, was from Italy. and she's an old lady, 65 years old!

in that movie, everything is just romantic! in the beginning, you can actually tell the honeymoon was just not going to work for Sophie and Victor. I literally didn't like the guy from the start, i mean, he was just not the best listener for a girl like Sophie that is passionate about writing and sharing stories. Victor is a chef, yea, still think all Italian chefs are romantic? I was really glad Sophie get to go to Verona to discover what she was missing in the relationship that she really wants. i mean, Verona, where Romeo and Juliet was born, where love is portrait as unbreakable souls and two hearts beat as one. i never ever get tired of the play, but i really hate the ending as well. i really hope Shakespeare would have thought a better ending than dying and bloodshed.

anyway, back to the movie, Sophie met with Claire, who wrote the letter to Juliet to ask for advice about her affections towards Lorenzo, that she thought was never meant to be due to her parents' disapproval. Sophie who found the letter, wrote back to her as Juliet's secretary, and Claire end up coming to Verona to search for her long lost love 50 years ago! along with her grandson, Charlie. and let me tell you, how charming a British man can be (especially their accent), but Charlie was totally different. he was not a total charmer technically, but physically, he is WOW indescribable.

so, the three of them Sophie, Claire and Charlie traveled around Verona to look for Lorenzo. it wasn't easy, but Sophie was smart to shortlisted all the "Lorenzo Bartolini"s by predicting how far he could have moved from the last time Claire and he met. and well, along the way, Charlie who was a total stubborn, actually felt for Sophie, despite knowing that she's engaged.

my favorite part! (source: Google images)
the ending, yea, Claire actually found Lorenzo and got married too! Claire and Charlie, well, it took them long enough for them to realize they actually loved each other, undeniable to their feelings. oh, that was my favorite part. Charlie literally went all 'romeo' confessing his love to Sophie from under the balcony. it was heart-melting, i cried like crazy! i actually felt like Charlie was talking to me! yea, i screeched like a lil girl, so what, it was romantic okay.

i really recommended to everyone to watch this movie, especially with a special someone, because i know i will! before i end this, i would like to share you my favorite quote from the movie itself:

Zoo Volunteering (#ThrowbackThursday)

it's #ThrowbackThursday! and yes, I got a story to tell.
you know that feeling of checking off your bucket list of things to do before 30? yea, i was totally hyped about it!

on 28th February 2016, thanks to our membership in Kelab Rakan Alam Sekitar, we are practically chosen to go to Zoo Negara as volunteers! man, i remember how excited we were waiting for this day to come. we literally thought of everything to do, what to wear, and have no idea what should we even bring. anyway, we were all dressed in our class jerseys and off by bus, from 7 am and arrived at 8.30am.

we registered, got our wrist tag on, just desperately waiting for our names to be called. we were going to meet all the animals up close, how's that not exciting! and the best thing about my part of the job, i get to photograph everything and everywhere I go. (since the zoo has the health policy of, you can't just simply come from one cage to another, cause there might be diseases that you carry with you while cleaning the cages. and yea, it's dangerous for certain animals).

so since i wasn't involve in cleaning cages, i got to walk around the zoo all by myself, going cages by cages to look at all the animals. i was stocked to see my favorite animal, the giraffe of course! you can actually feel how tiny and short you are just standing beside it. and, do you know, the elephants actually enjoyed bath! they even do tricks while at it, it was so adorable! and you have no idea how actually tamed the carnivores were at zoo! the lions were so tamed, they actually liked being rubbed on the head! but you don't want to mess with their tigers, they're kind of "unpredictable". the zookeeper told us the tigers have their own mood-swings, there'll be time they're playful and tame, but there're times they just feel like biting your hand off. oh, and they hate bath!

don't forget the deers, they're so funny, in my opinion. they love moving in herds, especially when they know when there's food awaiting behind the gate. they would just swarmed at you, for the food! and for a girl who never seen a camel up close, i really realized why the others were saying they're quite "slimy". it drooled a lot, especially while eating, and "poo" as soon as they just ate after (does that mean camel digest food quickly?). i didn't get to see the orang-utan up close, due to its tight security, cause' they are smart creatures. but my friends who were in charge of cleaning their cages, told us that the orang-utans are bigger than they thought! and have no toilet manners, especially there was this one orang-utan, who had terrible stomachache, and they say the smell was horrifying! they even liked to stare at people who cleaned it for them, probably knowing how honored to have their butts "wiped".

in the end, i didn't get to see the reptile section. yea, no panda as well (too expensive, and they're too fragile to have volunteers to do work in there). i get to enjoy the view at the aquatic section tho, the penguins were just adorable! after that whole day spent at the zoo, it was actually worth it. yea, it was exhausted, but it was fun-kind-of-exhausted, feeling all adventurous.

i wish i can tell you more, but i hope it'll give you a heads-up if you're interested in participating as volunteers! check out their websites: http://www.zoonegaramalaysia.my/volunteerprogram.html

before it all began..

wrist tags!

the best way to end the day.

Quick update: Life of a Blogger

source: Google images
It's 12 oclock midnight. And here i am, sleepless.

Just a quick update of how happy I am that my blog is completely changed! the layouts, templates and the best part, is my header! damn, it took me almost 5 hours to just create my own header to look the way i want it. and i can finally say how impressed i am for it. those photoshop classes actually paid off.

my housemates were amazed that i have my own blog, but they weren't impressed that it's not as famous like the bloggers they knew. it did hurt my feelings a bit, but in my opinion, blogging actually make me learned a lot of new things online. like coding especially. i  may not be as pro as a real tech-coder (or whatever you call it), but being able to learn the basics all by myself, actually makes me feel good about it. how proud of myself for doing all this.

i know i am not about sharing beauty tips, fashion (i am terrible at it), or giving relationship advice, or family issues. but i like i said, i am more about telling stories and making confessions about what i am going through with my life. sure, they're not as cool as other people who went on adventures, travel the world. but, sharing my stories about what i can learn from it or what others can learn from it, is what i really aim for. i mean, if i get to travel the world, i would definitely post about it, i promised!

so that's about it, i am out of words. goodnight zzZZ

Late Night (Confession IV)

you know that feeling when you can't sleep, and suddenly you have all these millions thoughts that came out from nowhere? yea, let's talk about my millions thoughts at 3AM.

for the moment, I wanna be grateful of so far, my life is completely in order. more like back into place. and for this, I am so grateful for the people that has been a part of it.

So here's my million thoughts of the night: Friendship. looking back before I got this far into my life, I have pretty much go through loads of ups and downs, and believe me, i wasn't as strong as I am now. but, like they say, if you can make a change out of it, you'll be fine. and again, to get this far, i was pretty observant over everything that happened around me. i took notes (in my head, duh.) about how people make friends, what language they used, what topic they talked about, how they control their attitude, when and where is the best place for you to be crazy or polite. i was obsessed over everything everyone do, and start "coyping" a few things from it. i know i know, i sound like a crazy person. but hey, it worked pretty well in the end. but, there were things that i did "don't make sense" and was way out of my league. but then again, you wanna live, you need to get out of your comfort zone, just TRY EVERYTHING (this reminds me of Shakira's song).

along the friendship lane, there was this group of friends that i was so inspired of becoming. they are amazing people, believe me. the fact making fun of each other seemed bad at first, but it actually got them closer, helping out each other, got their backs. i mean, i never have the idea that making fun of people offensively can actually create bonding (sigh). what got me inspired? that aura and energy they released to the surroundings that make other people laughed with them. i always enjoy that, making people happy is what i always aimed for. but having the right friends to do it with you, just makes it thousand times better. everyday i pray that these bunch of friends can't never fall apart, ever. like literally nothing can't ever break this.

the million thoughts on the late late night, i really really prayed that i would still be inspired by the amazing group of friends, that i looked up to. even though the the downs part are remained hidden behind doors, but i always pray these people could bring happiness to all the people around them, get others to inspire as well, just like i did.

personal note: thanks guys. i am grateful you're also part of my life, will always be.
